Vista can't install the gamepad driver for Creative Live 5+1 sound card. This is the most known sound card. XP does not require even driver cd when installing. Can someone explain why. --

MS have stated that they want to drop support for the Game/MIDI ports (which I presume this is), so that may be the problem.

It is 7 year-old design, and the game port is long obsolete. Create is notorious for not having drivers ready by OS release.

Just any idea get gameport.inf and gameenum.sys from XP and from CL drivers package ctljystk.inf try force it. You should keep in mind that MS must likely try remove slow bus ISA device drivers. Sorry I don't have Vista or I try fix it my self like I did in hay days of Windows 2000 Pro (NT5) with SBLive and 3dfx Voodoo cards.
